The Third Round

Lucifer comes out of the central gate, wearing some kind of armor, the candlelight shining off it. His right hand man starts to materialize next to him, weapon in hand. Lucifer is the master and the man is the slave. Like Nate was.

“That moment of hesitation cost you your weapons, I bet you feel pretty stupid now.” Lucifer said.

The gates rise, revealing the sea of black eyes and harmonizing, low growls slowly growing louder. Flames blaze in their eyes, soft embers threatening to blaze into wildfires. Hordes of Demons clamber out of the gates, charging with their swords to the ground. She grasps her longest knives, spinning them in her grip, fixing her gun, looking head on to face them. They charge, ready to rip her flesh to pieces. Stab. Slash. Dodge. Clawing relentlessly. She stabs, jabs, dives under, flips over, dizzyingly fast. Quick. Like lightning. They claw, she responds, a kick, dive, smash.

They are hungry, they stare like they haven’t eaten in days. Claws. One grips onto the leather on her straps, another grips onto the fabric of her dress, but she manages to rip them away, stabbing them in the heart. She shoots others, further away, sending them to the ground.

Screams of hunger and primal desire fill the arena; slobbering teeth, demonic spit. Hate burns in their eyes. She is their food, their next meal. Blood pools at her feet, dead bodies a heap on the ground.

Her clothing drips with sticky Demon blood. Letting the flames rise through her veins, they coil, forming a scythe. She lets it rip through the Demons standing in front, clearing a path. More will come.

Focus on Lucifer.

He stands in front of her, Demon blood pooling at his feet. He gazes at it, stamping through the puddle, confidence burning in his eyes, a disregard for life. He was the main attraction, standing tall, confident. He was going to die, and there will be nothing coming between his head and her knife.

Use me, A voice in her head calls. Fly up and ambush,

Taking its advice, she lets the Demon fully take hold. She has enough control to hold it back if things go wrong, but not enough to shut it down. She bolts into the sky, seeing the blood red specks and larger blotches on the painting. Lucifer shines like a light.

Relying on her acrobatic skills will be vital. Dropping like a stone wouldn’t give her the element of surprise, the only way she can win this .There’s no brute forcing her way through Lucifer. The Demons? Sure that can work. Lucifer, however, stands no chance.

Time to get crafty.

A clearing appears where she can land. It’s small, cramped, and there’s not much space to stick a perfect landing, but she’ll have to make do .Everywhere else has the arena full of them. She lets the flames snake from her arm to her fingertips, casting three rings. To give her space, to condense the Demons, thin them out. Catch any in the blast. Calling forth more scythes, she charges them, dropping it down.
